Welcome to National Black Stationery Week! I'm Andrea "Angie" Palmer, founder of Mohawkmomma Studio Boutique, established in 2016 during National Black Business Month, five months after I had delivered our ninth (and last) child.
As an autistic homeschool mom and Black designer + stationer, I'm a bit obsessed with teaching about the contributions made by Black folks, especially when it comes to paper and all things writing. I invite you to celebrate our innovative brilliance + excellence.
The last week in February will highlight Black stationers + shops each year.
Supporting us means more than spending money—raising awareness + fostering meaningful connections is the legacy.
Here's how you can help:
1. Visit + promote local Black-owned stationery shops on social media, tagging them to boost visibility.
2. Express appreciation to local shop owners for their work + spaces.
3. For online shoppers, share your favorite Black-owned shops on social media.
Together, we'll amplify our community + create lasting change.
Thank you for joining us in uplifting Black stationers!
Make sure to grab the media kit and participate if you are a designer, retailer, or stationery supplier, go here to visit the blog.
As part of National Black Stationery Week, we also celebrate the launch of #WorldBlackStationeryDay on February 28th.
Let's get more people putting pen to paper & writing more often.
